Oklahoma has long been analogous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have provided Bingo sessions for many years. Clients from each of the nearby states load up in passenger cars and travel into Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo for the weekends.
The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a precedent setting decision by The U.S. Supreme Court the year before. Since that instance, 23 of the 39 Indian tribes located in Oklahoma have opened gaming halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian tribes to take advantage of the wagering laws, and today operate ten casinos of their own. In the past few years, Oklahoma law have altered to permit big American Indian wagering casinos. You’ll now see Indian gambling dens with slot machines, video poker and 21 tables. Craps and roulette are not yet authorized in the Amerindian gambling halls yet, but this is just a matter of time. No one can determine what having different gambling hall games in the bingo houses will do for the appeal of bingo.
